A Letter to the Crook County Fire & Rescue Chief, and Why Lack of Fire Protection is Our Own Fault (according to the Central Oregonian)

Here’s the letter our neighbors in Powell Butte will be submitting to the fire chief.  Remember to come to the meeting at the Stradley’s on Monday, August 19 at 1:00 p.m. to get to the heart of the matter and ready ourselves for the fire board meeting on Tuesday, August 20 at 9:00 a.m.   If you can’t make either meeting, and are in agreement with the contents, please download the letter, print and sign it and return it to Carolyn.

Powell Butte Community Meeting

Please plan to attend a community meeting at the Powell Butte Community Center tonight, August 6,  at seven p.m. (sorry for the late notice, I just heard about it five minutes ago).  At that meeting the community will apparently hear from the Crook County fire department as to their dismal response time to the recent house fire on Reif Road.
